Mental Health Counselor
Julia understands that life can create several stresses and obstacles that can impact our mental health. In therapy, she provides a safe and inclusive space to help you explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. In such, she uses a collaborative approach to help you overcome your obstacles and achieve your goals.
Julia has experience working with adults with a variety of different mental health needs such as depression, anxiety, trauma, life stressors, conflicted relationships, and life transitions. She works to help clients create and develop improved coping skills for their distress, and enjoys watching them grow into better and happier versions of themselves. Additionally, she provides education on the effects that mental health can have on your body.
Julia earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa and received her Master’s Degree in Counseling from St. Mary’s University in Minnesota. She has completed a certificate training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, walking her dog, and trying new places to eat.
Julia is being supervised by Dr. Carlo A. Giacomoni.
